The purpose of the seminar is to study the Christian doctrine of God in its historical development and contemporary expression. The main topics of the seminar include tasks and methods of systematic theology, divine revelation, existence of God, models of the trinity, Christology, incarnation, atonement, and pneumatology. The readings combine the selections from Christian classics, such as the Cappadocian Fathers, Augustine and Aquinas, with those from contemporary theologians, such as Avery Dulles, Paul Fiddes, Georges Florovsky, and Thomas Weinandy.
